super useful software !! really easy to use and understand. Highly recommended

The Docklight RS232 serial data program was exactly what we needed to capture customer generated code for analysis. In less than an hour I had configured the capture process to display easily viewable decoded commands to aid in our analysis. I have already recommended this program to several of my engineering friends. The interface and setup is very easily and intuitive. I only needed to consult the help manual for a couple of tricky things I wanted to do. Excellent!

Docklight serial comms software for Loggers The Docklight software offers very versatile options in setting up send sequences to external devices via the serial port and receive and display the responses. Windows options permit the received values to be copied to clipboard and then to a spreadsheet.

I downloaded the RS232 Data Logger 2.7. I followed the instructions, then rebooted my PC and set the parameters for communication and the data logger worked perfectly! Of particular help was the instant display of data sent or received. This helped me know that I had the communications parameters set correctly with the serial device.Excellent software.

I uninstalled the program after i found out it was unable to run and grap data from my serial line while i ran a program using the same port.

Works great and can be incorporated in to existing .html pages. I disdained the server side includes and run it via iframe. The script is fast and the parsing is raw text that can be munipulated by templates to alter fonts, hrefs, title, descriptions, etc. Great tool.Ron Deanhttp://www.otheophilus.net

Seemed good but when I downloaded the files were messed up and I could not figure out how to call it to the place I wanted. I was using an HTML website and it was not working at all. Showed up PHP. So then I read everything and still could not get it set up.

The title says it all. RSS to HTML. This piece of module is very easy to use and customize the look and feel of the RSS content in HTML.I recommend this for the novice PHP site manager or developer.

rss2html did, and will continue to do exactly what we wanted - to put RSS feeds from our blogs onto our Home Page to highlight the latest posts. We'd already tried Javascript Feed Gadgets, but we were looking for something that was free or almost free, that would display in our CSS styles and that wasn't dependent on a 3rd-party service website (we'd noted that some of the main players in rss to javascript had stopped playing, and at least one current one seems to be suggesting not to rely on them for long-term service). Simple & intuitive Looking over the code and the examples provided it was very easy to add some rss to existing webpages - this opened up a number of options not previously available and it was simple to do.

Pretty good aggregator I was looking for an RSS reader which would actually aggregate all my feeds into one stream. So many readers just list items in a folder structure only.RSS Owl does exactly want I want, except for one thing - the default date sort order is newest to oldest. While I can change that to oldest to newest, I'd like that choice to 'stick' the next time I run the program.

Does not run I tried it on an OS/2 machine that routinely runs Java programs, but it would not even load, aborting without any visible error message. In contrast, ThinFeeder runs without any problem right "out of the box."

Easy & Fast Very usefull about the validation and error reporting.I use it to test my scripts.

Very nice small tool if you want a quick look at the serial protocol. The timestamp which will is a nice feature. What I miss is a hex-view of the whole telegram.

Nice compact little utility which runs OK on Win 98SE - only has the one display mode in which printable characters are displayed as they are and non printable characters are displayed in green as Hexadecimal. The data I am trying to analyse contains no text so I would prefer to be able to choose for all data to be displayed and captured as Hex - seemingly not possible in this version. Would also like to be able to turn off time-marks. Nice program though, simple and effective.

Program performs well. I am not sure what the time delay is at this time. I am using the program to record NMEA output from a gps and fishfinder. I need to relate the depths to position, time is the common reference.Dick

Serial Comms review 1. easy to install on XP, Win98 machines of all vintages2. works with real serial ports or with USB/Serial converters3. only small issue is that you must decide on Baud/Bits prior to connecting other serial device, once connected must disconnect to change settings.

No connection to port Once the device was connected to the serial port the data logger could not monitor the port and if the data logger was pre-connected, the device would not connect.I was unable to use the program and do not have the time to figure it out.

SAL232 review I was looking for a RS232 snooper program that could time stamp the communication. SAL232 looks very fine, but lacks ability to adjust baud rate to user requested baud rate. My need is 10400 baud.
